Essentially rural, the pace of life here is languid, laid back & positively infectious...a region of good living & eating well.

Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River or wander among the forests, hillsides & local vineyards.

The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair...take your time over lazy lunches of  local duck, foie gras, Agen prunes, Bayonne ham, walnuts & black truffles. The wine here is second to none, with infamous wines like St Emillion, Margaux, Pomerol & Pauillac and not forgetting Armagnac, the oldest brandy in France.

Parc en Ciel sits in 16 acres of woodland in the lovely Gavaudun valley. The River Lede runs through the park and there is also a small lake. Inside the park are a tree-top adventure area, a large natural swimming pool, mini-golf, disc-golf and a couple of childrens playgrounds. The whole site has been attractively planted with a pleasant mix of shrubs and flowers. If you have children this is a great day out for the whole family. A tree adventue park, a large natural pool, mini-golf and an attractive park mean there is something for everyone.

The department was notably named after two rivers, the Lot and the Garonne River, making a wide range of activities like canoeing or kayaking available.
